Guillermo's  Uncle Johnny, Spc. Juan Rodriguez, who is with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Mosul, Iraq was so kind to send us photos of himself, the latest US Army Bradley tank, and the hotel in which he now lives, the Monsul Hotel.
 Spc. Rodriguez is our Pen Pal and has answered some recent questions e-mailed to him by the children:
1.  Does your hotel have a swimming pool?
  Yes, it does have a swimming pool.  But we had to clean and fill it up with water.  Right now we don't use it, so it is empty.

2.    Bryanna noticed the flag in the background on one of your pictures and wanted to know..Do you have to say the pledge of allegiance like we do?
     No, we don't say the pledge of allegiance, we are always busy, so its hard to get everybody together to say it.

3.  Do you shoot the big gun in the tank?
     No, I don't shoot the big gun in the tank.  That's a different part of the army that shoots those.

4.  Does it rain alot over there?
     No, it doesn't rain much here.  I've been here since March and it actually rained two times, it sprinkled a little bit 3 times.  But they said that the rainy season is suppose to start soon.

5.  Do you have to clean your own room?
     Yes, we have to clean our own room.  That way we stay cleaner and healthier.  Everything we have we keep clean, so we know when it is broken right away, and we are sure that it works.
        We are so proud and pleased to have such a hero as our Pen Pal.  We will update everyone on the questions asked, answers, and pictures.
